Alcippe is a genus of passerine birds in the monotypic family Alcippeidae. The genus once included many other fulvettas and was previously placed in families Pellorneidae or Timaliidae. The family Alcippeidae is sister to the family Leiothrichidae containing the laughingthrushes.
